Default best logging software?

Hi there, both seem to be competitive, and around the same price point, but I would like to get the opinions of anyone that might have used them. Anyone?

This is a little off subject, but may help out indirectly...

A lot of your question depends on what, and how much you want to log.
I haven't used any of the two programs you mentioned, however the simplest and cheapest way to data log a limited number of parameters is a nifty application for the iPhone called REV. In its full version it wirelessly connects to an OBDII WLAN interface called the ELMCAN II and can data log a number of OBDII parameters on the iPhone. There are a number of OBDII wireless devices now on the market as this type of engine monitoring is becoming more and more popular.
I'm currently experimenting with the device and will provide feedback in the next few weeks.
This is not a product you would use in a race car - but it can provide a great deal of info to the novice for a relatively low price.

The link below is to one of the now many companies currently making data logging software. Their wireless device is one of the ones currently marketed with the REV software, and they also have their own software available for a number of platforms.

Thanks, it seems like a really good option, especially after poking around a bit in their site. I like that you can download the software and fiddle a bit with it to see if it covers all the right bases. admittedly, you still need their products to make it work, but they are currently the price leader, thats for sure. I am speaking of the PC interface, not the iPhone. I dont have an iPhone, so I cant comment there.

Anyone else have any input? Should this topic be in a different forum?
