Default BIG Problem!

Ok so i was cruising on the street today and i hit Vtech and then i lost all boost in vtech and it went dead, and then i got a CEL code. After that my car started making a cranking type noise (IE: like when you were a kid and you put a baseball card on the back on your bike). I no longer can enter vtech and now my car makes the noise whenever i excelerate. Is my motor blown? What could be the issue!

To say the least i am extremely nervous and worried that i am really screwed.

i dont have the code number but i was told it was a "vtech system failure". And what exactly is a tensioner?

Who told you and why wouldn't they just give you the code?

He's talking about your timing chain tensioner.

Sounds like you're low on oil to me. Maybe you did something nasty to the motor. I'd check the oil first.

Its VTEC not Vtech.

Get the code for the CEL and report back. Until then, its just playing the guessing game.

Do you want us to just guess? Tell us about your setup. Do you have a turbo? Supercharger? Give us something to work with.

crank bearings!! best guess w/ the info

IF you have no idea that VTEC is pronounced VTEC, and you dont know what a TCT is, then maybe you should just tow the car to a mechanic..

Did the CEL blink?

I have never had that problem when I exclerate into vtech. Sounds serious. I would quit drivbing the car to avoid further damage.
