I'm new to this forum and can't figure out how to post a question, and apologize for jumping in, but I'm desperate.
Recently acquired an AP1 with 49,000 miles that had a Billman TCT installed about 1,500 miles ago by previous owner. After car sits for a day or two, loud chain noise at startup. I'm guessing TCT is bleeding down. Last time I started it it was so loud I'm now afraid to start it up again. Can you please contact me to discuss. I just joined so can't pm.

I hope that link worked. That start was typical but not as bad as one on Sunday.

 

There is no chain noise or tct noise there at all. Tct noise is very distinct and cannot be confused with any other noise.

Your noise sounds like a dry start after an oil and filter change. What oil filter is on the car?

 

It's a Honda filter, and that noise is like that and worse sometimes every start after sitting over a night or two.

 

What is the part number of that Honda filter?

The receipt says it's a 15400-PCX-306 filter but I'm unable to confirm because I can't see a number from above. I'll get under it tomorrow to get it.
