Default blew my motor

Ok I so i cracked the block on my 2001 motor. And I'm going to tear out the motor along with the tranny. Theres nothing wrong with the trany i just dont really want to do a seperation underneathe the car, and this will give me an oppurtunity to do some surgery on the drivetrain.

Who makes a race motor for the s that isnt going to completely destroy my pocket?

If i put a stock motor back in, what Improvments should i do before putting it back in the car ( keeping it N/A )?

how did you crack it?

From what I've been reading, you might want to get aftermarket valves and springs, and maybe titanium retainers. if the mileage is right, do the clutch.

i know this is going to hurt but i did the same thing and it cost me 6300. i had the block sleeved, oversized pistons, crower rods and aknife edged 2.2l crank. i put the toda titanium valve train and the toda vtec killer cams in it. its a great setup but it hurt my wallet. just giving you some ideas. good luck

I have a 2004 AP2 motor with 8 miles on it. I bought it from the Hard Top Guy about six months ago. It was pulled from a new S2000 that was damaged in shipping on the transport. An AP2 motor with a 2001-2003 ECU is becoming a popular setup.
I'm asking $5100 for the motor and you pay the shipping. The shipping would be calculated from Cleveland. The motor is being stored there. Let me know.

For note, I decided to get rid of it because I'm stationed over on the middle east until the first quarter of '08 - and decided on buying a BMW M3 through a military buying program when the new model comes out, instead of building a second S2000 project car - so I no longer need the motor (decided last week when I offered it up to another S2Ki.com member). My '03 S2000 is in storage until I get back.

I'd be interested in seeing a dyno plot for this car.
