Blew my rear diff....

Default Blew my rear diff....

My car has 18K miles and the rear diff went..Has anyone had any problems with theirs or know of anyone who has.. Honda says they didnt find a fault in their produts, so their not going to pay for it leaving me up sh*ts creek without 4000$.. please PM me if any one has had any problems.. thanks everyone

Quick point here: There are loads of holes in this story. You don't say when this happened, under what condition. Nor how you treat the car in general. You don't mention service history or type of diff lubricant used.

At this point no one can draw a conclusion from what you have posted and in lieu of such information we have learnt from experience to expect the worst. Like the guy whose diff went and Honda found time slips in the trunk.

Fact is, if you have driven your car within the limits of a normal road car, have all services done, and they have used the correct lubricant you should pursue the warranty. If you drag the car and when ever you make 13s you celebrate with a burnout, get services done 'whenever', and use Crisco 'cause it's cheaper then no, I don't think your warranty claim is valid.

As for Honda not finding anything wrong: Outside of lunched ring and pinion gears, chewed diff centre and shrapnel in the pumpkin what are they looking for?
