Default Block Boring questions

Hey guys,
i recently bought a spoon stroker kit, and was un-aware they supplied the .25 oversize pistons. So my Block is at a boring place now, but he has said he is hesitant to machine it cause he's unsure on the cylinder walls.
Could anyone answer these questions:
What metal is the cylinder wall made of?
how thick is it, and is it safe to machine this back .25mm?
If it CAN be machined back .25 and I am thinking of possibly running some FI later on, be it around 10psi, Will the wall I have remaining be strong enough for this or will I have to sleeve it if I wanna go FI?

Also if anyone can answer what kind of rings are in the SPOON 2.2l kit? and any recommendations of a matching Sleeve (brand/material) that these rings would bed in well with.
Cheers ^^

Also, another one of my options is to just re-use my old pistons. Would the SPOON pistons and standard pistons pretty much be of the same quality?

The S2000 has Fiber-Reinforced Metal (FRM) Cylinder Walls and I don't recall anyone doing substantial boring without using a sleeve.

Would you consider .25mm substantial? How thick is the FRM

I believe you have .25 to play with

BUT you need to hone the walls properly!

This is not something you can just wing. FRM is hard to work with.

You will need to hone with a Diamond hone and special coolant. 0.25mm can be done with a hone only.

If you want to send your block to Sydney I can get it done for you with a stress plate as well.

Otherwise, ask around the machine shops. The later generation of Holden and Toyota motors use similar bores so some machine shops are starting to upgrade their equipment,

See my F24 thread on pictures of how thick the FRM was on my block. Pictures show the bores after honing to +.25mm pistons.

F24C FRM build
