Just blew up my differential on my ap1. Wondering what all parts are needed to swap to an ap2 dif. I know i'll need a new ap2 dif or is there a better option available from puddydad or elsewhere? Also whats the piece called on the drive shaft that i'll need to change to mate up to the ap2 rear.

 

Just curious, how did you blow it? Did the housing fail?

 

A PuddyMod diff would probably be the best option as it would ensure you got a good diff, but its $$$$.

 

Looks like both the collars failed as there is fluid leaking around the axles on both sides. Got in touch with puddy, I think thatll be my best option.

 

From what I've read, the AP2 diff is only marginally stronger. I would think if you popped an AP1 diff, in the same circumstance you'd have popped an AP2 diff, too.
