Blown Fuse? Headlight/sidemarker issue.
Hey guys, I'm kind of puzzled right now and seeing as how I just got paid today I'd really like to fix this already.
My amber corners in the headlight housing and my side-markers in front of the "S 2000" emblem don't light up when I turn my headlights on. However, when I use my turn signals the amber corners and the side-markers work just fine. Same thing when I hit the hazard button; the ambers and the side-markers light up and flash just fine.
So why is it that the amber corners and side-markers don't turn on at all when I turn on my headlights??
Thanks,
David.

From looking at the schematic there are two things I think might give you symptom. Ones a fuse and one is a relay. Sitting in the driver seat just above your left knee you will find a fuse block. There are two rows of fuses (lots of em). On the inside row, closest the the center of the car is the fuse of interest. It is the 5 th down (with 1 being closest to you). This is fuse 23(10 amp). Remove and check for continuity. If the fuse is ok then there is a relay. Just to the left of the fuses you will see 2 wire harnesses....1 large and 1 small. Between the 2 is a row of relays (2 or 3 depending on if you have a hardtop w/defrost). The relay of interest is the one closest center of car. It's actually the taillight relay, but a sub circuit effects the area of concern. By the way the "missing" one if you have only 2 will be to the outside of the car. You might try wiggling it or cleaning the contacts? By chance have you been working under the dash at all? If so you may have bumped it........
Hope this helps,

Hate to bring this back from the dead. Where you able to find the issue?? I just checked the fuse and they are good. I pulled the relay, tapped on it and cleaned it up a bit but still no work.
I guess my next step is to buy a new relay and try that out. just wondering if someone found a solution that was not a fuse or relay.
