Blue smoke

I am the technician he is talking about. It only smokes after the vehicle has been sitting over night. That is why I believe valve stem seals. And it will only smoke once. Rings would smoke bad on cold start and would gradually smoke less as the vehicle warms up. This is just once for a few seconds and then it stops. I will be doing a compression test on the car soon, we are really slow here at the dealer so it might be this week. I will post my finding.

have you checked your PCV system? maybe a sticking valve?

Valve steams, i'm pretty sure.

Plus, unplug the tiny hose the engine has on top (the gas-return one) while idle. If you get some air exhaust, it will confirm the valve issue.

well we did a compression test tonight, here are the numbers. so i'm guessing everybody is right, must be valve stem seals.

Dry Compression Test

190 185 187 200 before WOT

220 210 207 220 WOT
