Boost Gauge
For those of you running a boost gauge (or know about how to hook them up), can you please provide some info about where to hookup the vacuum/boost tube on our engines? I am not sure what is the best/most accurate place to connect to. Also, if you have any suggestions for hose sizes/couplers/etc, that would be greatly appreciated.

If you or anyone knows...let me know. I was wondering the same thing.
PMed Wesmaster earlier and he said "My mechanical boost gauge is tapped into one of those hoses that goes from the intake manifold to the head. I haven't seen my car in a while, so it's all kinda fuzzy; but I know it's tapped in there somewhere"

Mechanical reads the boost by tapping into the intake system, while an electrical gauge would tap into the electical system, or the ECU...not sure where. I don't think the electical boost gauge would work well on our car do it it's limited reading of boost (map sensor only reads up to 0.5 bar, or ~7 psi, I believe).

Thanks for the picture Wes...now I know how to hook it up....I just need to find a 'T' that size to do it.
The mechanical is cheaper than the electrical. You have to run the 1/8" tubing into the car for mechanical, but it isn't very difficult. I would guess the electrical has a sender of some type - probably not much difference in install complexity.
Since both gauges measure boost and vacuum, I would guess that either would work. I believe Wes can confirm that the mechanical gauge works.
