Default Brake & Battery Lights come on simultaneously at a stop

Hey guys,

I've been neglected my S2K, and barely started it over the winter. It has a 2 year old battery wouldn't stay charged after I jumped the car, and even after I started it, it would eventually lose power while running. I bought a new aftermarket alternator and battery. I installed them without a hitch a few weeks ago, and barely drove the car. I took it out today and noticed the BRAKE and BATTERY dash lights would come on when I came to a stop and then turn off a few seconds later. Should I be worried? I haven't found anything definitive here, but a google search yields a consensus for other makes, that the alternator is faulty.

What made you determine that the OEM alternator was actually faulty in the first place?

I tested it with a voltmeter.

Regadless, the issue with the dash lights coming on has stopped happening now, so I guess I'm GTG.

I'm having this same problem right now. My cars in the body shop right now but then it gets out I'm going through the wires and seeing is something is loose or dirty. I heard it might be something causing a resist between the alternator and the battery. I put electric grease on it and tightened it so I don't know what would be causing the problem.
