mike i recall our abs(or newer honda abs pump) calls for a power on bleed, let me get back to you after i check my manual at home
Check the Helm manual.

I've done dozens of bleeds on my car. Never had the power on, never had a problem. As I said, though, I'm using a pressure bleeder.

You need pictures to bleed the brakes? I don't understand. What is there to take pictures of?

As for swapping pads, the Helm manual is well-illustrated.

Anyone has BBK on their car? Just received my new grassroots motorsports magazine, and there is something about BBK.

Quote:
Big front calipers also require more fluid volume, which means longer pedal travel and less fluid reserve for when pad fade strikes.

So wondering if anyone here with BBK has the same issue, or it's not about BBK?

update: I am talking about front BBK not all 4 corners.

Is the only symptom of a problem that the light on the dash stays on? Maybe it's just that the float in the master cylinder reservoir is stuck.

thats what i was thinking, but do i have to replace the whole assembly?? And it kind of feels a little touchy/slushy at times. I bleed the brakes 4x but cant seem to get out all the bubbles out. I might have to do this when the DAMN weather starts acting like spring.

Not if it's just a stuck float. You can reach in and free it up.

As for trouble getting all the air out, did you use a pressure bleeder or did you use some other system? IMO, the pressure bleeders do a much better job than any other technique (although some folks here swear by "gravity bleeding" as best).
