Default Brake Fluid Change

Hey guys. I have an '03 S2000 with 16k on the odometer. I want to change the brake fluid to ATE Super Blue and I can't seem to find a write-up with pictures on this forum. If there is one could someone please point me in the right direction? Thank you very much.

Rev has a good tutorial on his page for bleeding and a couple other good ones too...

Well to me, what I say is more profound than what I hear most other people say Thanks for the write-up

This says how to bleed your system. I'm doing a full flush of the brake fluid and replacing it with new fluid. What would I do different from the bleed write-up?

Just bleed it until new fluid comes out. Then move to the next caliper and do it again. Lather Rinse Repeat. Quite simple. Same basic procedure.

It helps to have different color fluid, ATE has blue and gold for this purpose.

"In the earlier days, the mechanic would bleed the brakes by having someone pump and hold pressure on the brake pedal as he opened the brake lines located at each wheel. This method of bleeding the brakes is not a recommended procedure for newer brake systems (discussed later). "

Is this true? If it is, I think I should take it to a Honda Specialist here in town to have the procedure done.

James your more than welcome to pay someone else to do the job for you. That's something I have done quite a few times out of laziness.

fwiw this is how I have flushed my brakes before with JP's assistance, pantyraider has done this also, rev (the guys who did the diy page) does it this way, I'm willing to bet mike has also, and many other track junkies have and we're all running aorund w/o any problems. So there is quite a few reliable sources that do it the same way

I have done the pedal pump method, but these days I use a power bleeder so I don't need a second person.

I was going to drive down the street and steal JP's power bleeder last time I needed a flush but the local dealership told me they'd do it with my 30k service so my lazy side spoke to me and I took them the ATE and let them handle it
