Brake Light On....
The last couple of days, there are times my brake light is still on when I take off the parking brake, but only for a few minutes and then it goes off. It doesn't always do this though.
The brakes are in good condition, fluid level is proper, no leaks, and had a new brake resevoir, clutch resevoir, and DOT 4 fluid put in 2 months ago. Also, no bad or strong odors.
My guess is that maybe the parking brake needs to be adjusted and/or lubed. That hasn't been done since I've had the car.
How do I adjust the brake? That self adjusting thing is just a bunch of BS if you ask me. Is there any part of the brake setup between the handle and the brake that should be lubricated, and what should I use?
Yes, I did try a search, and didn't find anything that helped me out.
Thanks in advance for any help and/or info
BTW, it's the light on the dash, not the lights on the back of the car

this happened to me in my Prelude...the e-brake probably needs to be tightened (in my case at least). in the Prelude there's a location for it behind the center console, but i'm not sure about the S...
the light in the dash doesn't just come on when your e-brake is engaged, but since you checked everything else you should be ok...

It's not the e-brake switch, or the e-brake cable adjustment. It's the brake fluid level switch inside the master cylinder reservoir. This has happened on several S2k's. The only way the switch is sold is with a new brake master cylinder.

did you spill a coke in / on the ebrake area?
pull up the center consol and clean, maybe spray silicone as a cleaner?
