Default Brake master cylinder

My 2004 S2000 has the original master cylinder. A mechanic showed me that the surface of the booster shows signs of a fluid leak. The surface paint of the booster is bubbly under the master cylinder. I have not had a problem with having to replenish the fluid in the reservoir. Does this mean problems are imminent and I should replace the master cylinder? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim

If it is showing signs of leakage then yes you should replace it. The brakes are only the most important component on a car.

As I said, I am not having to replenish fluid. I just looked at 3 S2000s. All 3 had the same paint bubbling under the master cylinder on the booster surface.
