Brake Pads?

Default Brake Pads?

how long do the stock brake pads last with average braking on the S2000?

also which aftermarket pads do you guys recomend?

I made ot over 75k miles before replacing the pads. I think I drive it pretty hard, but have not tracked or Auto-Xed this car.

I also downshift/engine brake on a regular basis.

BTW, my clutch also lasted until 84k+ miles.

Your results may vary.

My rear pads died by 8,000 miles, and I changed to Cobalt GT Sport front and rear. I drive relatively sedately on the street, but I had two track days and one autocross day in those 8,000 miles. My GTS pads are lasting better.

There is no answer to this. One track day is the same wear and tear as several years of daily driving. It entirely depends on what you consider to be "average braking".

Unless you are tracking the car, the best replacement pads are the OEM pads.
