Default Brake Partially Seized?

On MY00 the right front brake seems to have partially seized. I noticed a vibration coming from that side, as if i lost all wheel weights. Its not totally clamped down because the car is able to move but there is constant friction on the rotor. That wheel has excessive brake dust on it and the rotor is as hot as an iron. It seems the caliper is not fully releasing. Any ideas on fixing this?

When driving does it pull to that size?

I dunno about partially seized, that's like being partially pregnant. It's either stuck or not stuck, maybe not in a completely clamped position, but stuck is stuck. Or not.

I haven't disassembled my brakes on my S, but the solution to seizure in the past has been caliper replacement, and maybe rotor too depdnding on how long it's been stuck

Pull the caliper assembly off the car, and check the pins or bolts that the caliper rides on for rust. In our region of the country, dealers will use high temp grease on the pins to allow the calipers to "float" (move back and forth on the pins) as you use your brakes.

This type of sticking is usually what causes the brakes to not release. You shouldn't have to replace any parts except the pads..

Good luck.

i'm also experiencing this same exact problem from time to time (front right semi stuck). i took it to honda and they said its seizing up and that i need to replace both front brake caliper, rotors, and pads ( a 750 dollar job). to me that doesnt make sense that its "partially seizing" b\c in my 240 both rear calipers seized at once, there was no partial about it. after they seized they never opend back up for normal driving and i was not going anywhere. the smell was horrible and it was like i was driving a FF car with the e-brake on. i'ma take a look at my caliper and see if theres rust like he said. lube it up and get my front rotors resurfaced.

check the pad itself, if you see the pad is wearing taper/diagonally, the pin might be dry and stuck in the caliper housing.

take it off and regrease it, it happens quite often on older car.
