Brake pedal extension?
Anybody know where I can get a brake pedal extension? I cant reach the throttle while I brake. I want to brake, blip the throttle, and downshift simultaneously to achieve a smooth downshift. The brake and gas pedals are to far apart.
You asked an unrelated question,in a 20 year old post.
They were trying to add an extended to brake pedal so its closer to gas pedal, laterally. You're asking about brake pedal height.
The real answer to their dilemma back then is to add a GAS pedal extender, of which there are a few on the market, or you can diy.
Adding a brake pedal extender is a really bad idea. The amount of leg force you might apply to pedal is huge. Very difficult to buiod something that would stand up to that, and if you mess up, could easily result in an accident.

Suggest something like: Possible to adjust brake pedal height?

I'm just going to throw my 2 cents in here:
There is no adjustment on pedal height/location. All 3 pedal boxes are mounted to the firewall on studs, and the holes on said brackets are not eccentric for location - especially since both the cable throttle/cruise control ap1s & 2s as well as the 06+ DBW cars that still use a cable actuator for the pedal position sensor in the bay. That said, you really can't have an adjustable pedal setup for any of the pedals as tangency needs to be maintained for the cables, as well as for the rods/clevis going to the brake & clutch pedals. I believe a majority of the newer cars that can accommodate an adjustable gas pedal in terms of location are using a fully electronic/self-contained pedal/position sensor assembly. I'm only replying because I've done extensive research on this very subject as I've got some ideas/plans with my car that sent me digging.
BUT, I do remember seeing a guy on YouTube who made himself a pedal spacer(s) to play around with height of either the gas or brake & their relation to one another. I don't remember specifically what, but check out "NAUS" on YouTube - he made a whole video on it. Otherwise if it's spacing in terms of distance from one pedal to the other on the X & Y plane (mostly X), get a gas pedal extender, OR just bend the pedal arm towards the other respective pedal (ghettooooo). In terms of height relation to one-another on the Z plane? Look for the video I mentioned.
Edit: Took the liberty to find the video(s); felt like it would be rude not to.
Check 'em out. Hope this helped.
