It is very highly unlikely that your rotors need to be replaced. Unless they have visible cracks or the brakes feel "rough" and the pedal vibrates when you use them, the rotors are fine. If the brakes are just squeeling, that usually indicates the brake pads should be inspected.

You can actually see the brake pad lining thickness by looking through the spokes of the stock wheels, but you have to know what you are looking for. Otherwise, the most simple way to check is to jack up the car and pull off a wheel.

There is a good tutorial on this site telling how to replace the brake pads. It is very easy to do with the right tools and a little bit of practice. But if you don't want to, any shop can replace them. (Some shops use customer ignorance of brakes as a profit center, so beware.)

For street use, I highly recommend replacing them with the OEM pads. I have a bunch of different brake pads in my garage, but the ones I use for street driving are the OEMs.

Do all 4. Pads are an easy switch.
I was changing my rotors last week and the 2 bolts holding it on are made of the SOFTEST metal... Holy shit... I think they all stripped and I had to use "easy-out" on nearly all of them... Cotttdayam that was a long night.

You guys are crazy. Only replace the end that needs replacing. Replace all four on the front and/or all four on the rear, but there is no need to replace the pads on the rear if the fronts are the problem, or vice versa.

First inspect them, so you know which ones are the problem.

Then go out and buy (a/both) new set(s).

Then replace them.

While you are in there, it might be a good idea to flush your brake fluid if you have never done that. Honda recommends every three years, but I think every two is a better idea.

My rear pads have 70k on them, and they are still fine.... Replaced the front at around 55k or so....

Just do the ones that are needed.

And... use an impact wrench/driver to get the rotors off if you need to take them off.....

Here's what I use. It's cheap and works like a charm.
