Default Brakes getting hot

I recently had Cobalt Racing GT Sports pads (front/rear) installed on my S. I now notice after driving normal and then parking that the rear passenger rotor and caliper are hotter than the others. I didn't get a chance to measure the temp but it feels hotter to touch and with radiation of heat....it's not THAT much hotter, but definetely hotter than the fronts which is weird. I didn't take things apart yet to see what's up...so before I do, any ideas on what could be going on ??

The S brakes perfect and straight otherwise, and WAY better than OEM pads. I highly recommend them. Pretty quiet too.

BTW, I noticed the tech installed the "metal plates" (shims?) from the old pads onto the new pads. Is that OK? Could it be related to my issue?

TIA?

Agree. The two things that pop up for me are:

1) wheel bearing is going bad (has nothing to do with your brakes)

2) you have a sticky brake caliper pin (or pins). Just relub the 2 pins to eliminate this possibility.

Could they just have been adjusted too tight (The E-brake adjuster) when they were swapped out? Otherwise they didn't back the piston out enough with the new pads?

It is really hard to get the caliper back over the pads if the piston is adjusted too tight.. and if it was the cable it would affect both sides. I think Tubedriver is right, probably a pin.

I had the same problem on the RR and missed it for a long time as I didn't walk close to it to feel the heat. Once I finally fixed the pin my gas mileage even improved a little.
