Where they connect to the oem steel lines ?. That is odd, maybe see if they can be tightened down some more.

Yeah I'm letting it sit to see if any other leaks appear, then I'll re-tighten. Maybe plumbers tape lol

Is there any good guide for installing ss lines? What hardware to go with ? I have Russell lines. Would like to use good hardware, and oem washers I guess?
Most SS line suppliers give you the banjo bolts and washers with the lines. Just use them if you have them but put them on at about 20 ft lbs torque, a tad lower than the oem setting.
Thanks J and friends

I would use a 3/8th drive torque wrench set at 240 inch lbs (20 ft lbs), rather than a 1/2 inch drive torque wrench set at 20 or 25 ft lbs , less chance of breaking the bolt IMO.

EXACTLY.

Happened to me too. SOS hooked me right up and then gave me the proper torque spec too.

I looked last night, thought i had it in an email and then noted it in my service manual but couldn't find it. Will check my work email today and report back.

Found it. SOS recommended just 14 ft/lbs of torque on their non-OEM banjo bolts for their steel braided lines.

Well i think my leak is fixed.
Tried tightening...no use. Separated again, made sure both end were clean, put back on as tight as possible without stripping, still leaking. Ended up making a thin gasket out of a clear tube I had from my vacuum pump. That seemed to have done the trick, lucked out the outside and inside diameter or the tube matched perfect.
Racing Brake never got back to me on the broken banjo bolt, guess they don't care.
