Default Building a 3" Exhasut

I have an Ultimate Racing 3" single exit

The exhasut is too loud for my taste, even that I am turbocahrged, So I decided go to a dual 3" exhaust. I do not want ot bring another form US or Canada so I decided make a costum.

I have 2 major concerns
  • Design
  • Muffler

Regarding the pipe design I have to model for copy: The OEM and HKS What would you suggest?

About the muffler we do not have here 3" muffler so I will have to buy it in US, any reccomendation?

I found a resonator with a 3" diameter inside here  so there is no need to buy one in US

Any recomendation would be appreciated

Juan

"Hayame" is a Japanese company that makes the best sounding mufflers I've ever heard on an S2000.

uhm. why don't u just buy a 3" resonator, or heck, another 3" oval straight thru muffler, and have the local muffler shop weld it in? instead of tossing the entire system?

(and above reply isn't really helpful, he already said he wants to go custom, etc.)

How is this not helpful? I didn't recommend a production full exhaust, just a brand of muffler.

your current megaphone design will almost always enhance the noise

your best bet is to go dual or
1. get a custom designed straight throuh 3" muffler that is designed to absorp noise, I think I used walker.
2. use 2 3" resonator
3. if this does not help then get the rest of ur exhaust pipes mandrel bent

Hope that help. My single system is as quiet as the stock system.
