GM fast burn (Vortec) heads have pretty slick combustion. You can make a pretty good valve train with roller tappets and shaft rockers. Fuel injection is on all the new engines. All aluminum and 7 liters.
The question with spending $15-20k on a street S2k motor is why? That money invested in a Porsche or some equivalent car would equal or exceed the acceleration with warranty and no tuning required.
No if you start with a Z06 or Supra TT, and plan to end up with 600-900 hp, that is a different story.
Have you thought of adding a Race Logic traction control system with launch control and WOT shifts. Should help a turbo quite a bit without destroying the car.

My Supra has 100,000 miles on the stock shortblock and has put 686 rwhp to the wheels.

Same thing the Supra owner in the other lane is saying.

Ricer response: "Well, let's force feed my V8 and we'll see who's the pussy!"

But back to topic...
Tuner, I'm an NA man myself, and have been building my motor for such. I have I/E/H, cam, throttle body, head gasket... I want the port/polish Alaniz head, with a triple-angle valve job and oversize-stem valves, possibly a set of Hayward ITBs (twin-injected 50mm), and to build the bottom end. I'd knife-edge and balance the crank (possibly a 2.2 stroker), balance/blueprint the conrods, and maybe even sleeve it with a 0.120 overbore. That would bring me to about 2300cc with the stroker. Of course, I'd need a stand-alone like an AEM EMS, an upgraded fuel system, and (if possible) I'd get rid of the on-plug coils and switch back to the old-school magneto.

I figured as much... But I'm up for it.
I have to adjust my carb every other day on the Camaro.
But anyway... that's funny (and also freakin' badass) that you have an alcohol KB Hemi. I spent about 5min on Google Images trying to find a pic of a KB motor, to no avail... I settled with that crate motor instead.
BTW, is that your KB Hemi in that last photo? I saw the pic and was seriously thinking to myself, "Looks like a KB aluminum block with trademark KB top end."

umm...thanx...hahaha
ITz all nice motors and all but I need to know specifically on the F20C. Anyone know if the Mike Simon motor holds the 9K redline?
The reason for sticking with the S and not something like the Porsche is my personal attachment to the car. I have never driven a car before that fits my personality and my importance in a car so perfectly. Though I love the stock characters of the S I want it more to fit to me (since even the S can't be completely perfect). Besides 4 cyls are my thing (I just like making the big 6clys and the 8cyls cry after getting toasted by a 4cyls). Win with smaller potential I guess I love it.
