Default Buzzy GearBox

I have read many threads of people having the same problem

Mine is a JDM 1999 model, and in 3rd and 4th gear, it buzzes especially when decellerating.

People say it can be fixed by installing a new clutch kit, but none of the threads that I have read indicates WHICH clutch kit to use.

If I use the exact same kit, then the buzz will come back again!

Does anyone know which clutch to go for? Aftermarket or OEM i do not mind if the buzz goes away.

Thanks!

The clutch buzz was the subject of a TSB on MY 2000 and 2001 cars in North America. If you use the most recent clutch disc from Honda, the buzz will be eliminated. While you're in there, it may be wise to replace the pressure plate and oil seals. It's also an opportunity to upgrade the clutch. In that case, many owners like the feel of stronger pressure plates combined with the OEM disc.

So, if I get OEM clutch kit including release bearing, disk, pressure plate from NZ Honda, the problem will be solved?

it will for while but many many many owner reported back that the buzz returns once they racked up some miles on the "new" clutch disk.

This is the part# for the updated / revised / changed / whatever OEM friction disk:
22200-PCX-055
Watch out for old stock, how many S2000's on the road in NZ?
The last 25.000 km. no buzz here.
And I know what the buzz sounds like, that's way it was changed (under warranty)

If your flywheel and PP are in good condition they don't need to be replaced.
Trick is, you can't see or inspect them until the gearbox is out.

The buzz itself is harmless!
