Hey guys,

My A/C button in MY02 won't turn off unless i turn the vent fan to 0. if its on 1+ the A/C button will be green and refuses to turn off with a push. Any ideas?

Do you have it set to defroster? When in defrost mode it will always run the A/C unless you have configured it otherwise.

My A/C turns on with the defroster, but I'm able to press the button and turn it off, unlike the OP. What gives?

 

Like I ended my post, unless configured otherwise. There is a procedure to change the setting allowing the defroster to be turned off. I have done this on mine but do not remember the procedure off the top of my head. It can be found with some searching.

The default setting is just as the OP has described. Someone changed yours.

 

No one changed his. 00-01 didn't have that issue with not being able to turn off the a/c. They added that feature of a/c always on with defrost mode on 02+ s2's.
