Default A/C Problems, Compressor Clutch Not Kicking On

Hello, me

I've been dealing with this for a month now and it's becoming frustrating.

My a/c stopped working one day and was blowing out hot air. Thought it needed a recharge, shop #1 told me the compressor was out and it was getting power. Charged me for diagnostic

Went and bought a manufactured compressor, installed it and took it to shop #2. Told me the new compressor was bad and charged me for diagnostic. I bought a brand new compressor and took it back to shop #2. They vacuum it and refilled it. Both fans work. They disconnected the pressure switch and it does work. Clutch still does not kick on. I have switch the relays around and checked the fuses. No luck. The shop today did remove the relay and gave it 12v at the fuse box and the clutch did kick on. They said the problem goes back to the ECM and they need me to leave my car with them for a few hours. It's my only car.

I don't have time to take it back to them until monday. My research has shown no one else with ECM / AC compressor issues. The system is currently properly charged. Any suggestions?

You sure it's not the switch on the dryer? As far as I know the ECU doesn't control the A/C compressor.

When you disconnect the switch, the fan turns off. I also jumped the connector and it still didn't kick on.

The compressor wasn't running when they filled the system, I was reading the compressor needs to be running to properly fill it. Do they need to jump it?

Yeah the compressor circulates the oil and refrigerant. So the problem is the magnetic clutch is not responding? Maybe it's something from the dash A/C switch.

You mean the climate control?

Tested ac wire than goes to ac, it gets 12volts instead of being grounded. Pretty sure it's the ecu, might have to change out a resistor. If I change the ecu, how do I get it reprogrammed or what not?

Look for a pinout of the ECU. See if there is a pin for the A/C. I never heard of the A/C being connected to the ECM.

According to the Honda Manual, it is. Bought a new ECU, will follow up
