Anybody attempt this? Can I get a step by step on how this is done properly and efficiently? thanks.

Before you start removing components.. Have a professional with the proper AC service equipment put the system under a vacuum and pull all the R-134a out.

uh... ya, we ALL did that before we removed our AC,
