Default Can anyone help with this...

When i put my car in reverse or when i take off in first gear....i hear a clinking noise....seems like its coming from my axles or something....someone said that it might have been my warped pressure plate...but i changed that and the noise is still there....and when my car idles too long....or im stuck in traffic....it seems as if my car will sometimes jerk violently....even though the my clutching is done right...someone told me that it might be a TPS....but i dont know what to tell Honda.....can anyone help? thanks....

Check with your Honda dealership. In Honda's Service News dated December 2001 the subject of "Axle Pops or Creaks: '00-02 S2000" was covered. The noise is due to axle (driveshaft) movement in the rear hub. The solution is to replace the spindle nut on the affected axle and applying grease to the new nut where it contacts the hub. Torque on the new nut is 220 lb-ft, and then its staked.

I've been getting this problem too for the past 2 weeks. I'll be taking my car in this Tuesday for an oil change and I'll also be mentioning this to them. We'll have to see what they say...
