Thumbs up clunking noise HELP

I have a quick question for all of you a buddy of mine has a S2000, and when he is turning either right to left at slow speeds he hears what would be a loud clunking noise from the rear of the car.. It shakes the whole car... It only does it when his foot is off the gas. He had the LSD changed out and that did not fix it... The only mod on the car is it is lowered, but the car was lowered for some time now so I feel that this is not the reason for the clunking noise... when putting in the New LSD to try and fix the problem every nut and bolt was torqued to Honda specks.. And yes we doubled checked them already... He had a shop take it out and put it back it to make sure we did it right. If any one knows what could be wrong please help me out I am at a loss. I can only think of one more thing that could be causing it and I would like to here what you all think before I go about doing it. I am with holding what I feel could be the problem do to the fact I feel that some one might say "yes that is the problem and then every one else will say the same thing"..
If any one can think of any thing please let me know.

Thanks,

Sounds like CV joint problems, but if the ring and pinion gears were not adjusted properly during the LSD R&R, that can cause noise too.

How many miles are on the car?
