i have a problem. okay this morning i got onto the interstate come to find out i cant go into 6th. ive asked around and ive heard the synchro(sp?) was messed up, and also transmission fluid was low and needed to be changed? the car makes no weird noises, no burning smells, and no vibration when im sittin still. if i try and put it into 6th it feels like theres a wall there that wont let me in and it doesnt grind if i try and put it into gear. any ideas?

yup it does sound like the syncro, same thing with my buddies wont go into 5th.

nope, not even fixed he still cruisin around with no 5th.

 

i believe tranny service can be pretty expensive. you might just be better off finding a used tranny.......

Do you skip gears? That will kill your synchros over time.

 

i go through all gears most of time, well i got it second hand so maybe that had something to do with it

 

Will it go in when the engine is off?
