Car does not start under certain circumstances
Hi,
This is my first post
I had my 01' s2k@91k for about 1000 miles now... the car is awsome so far. except the buzzing noise from the gear box mainly because of the Texas Heat.
so this morning, temperture is dropped about 10F from yesterday. The car started right off in the morning, I turn it off after 2-3 minutes because I left something at home. THen I jumped in the car. the car would not start. after 3 attempts (in about 5-7 mintues). THe car starts again. I had to skip one of my class becoz I dont want it to die on the campus and being towed.
I read the user manual about starting proceure, said starting the car in high attitude will be easier by flooring the gas pedle or have it half opened.
This is how I discribe the problem
It always starts right off for the first time
then wait for 7 mintues
Car wont start
Floor the gas pedal for 1-2 sec after the failed attempt
Car will start
then I run it for a few minutes, turn it off
wait for another 7 minutes
It will not start unless I step and release the gas pedal before pushing the button.
Could anybody tell me what is happening ?
What is the theory ?
Is the season change affecting the ecu setting?
Today is 76F, and It was like 93F two days ago.
Will it help by resetting the ECU ? Which fuse I will have to pull ?
Thank you for answering the question and sorry about my bad english.
My s2k is my DD. It is very important to me
