This happened to me earlier this week. I have a driveway that starts flat and goes up a hill into the garage. Well on the flat spot a tree over hangs and birds poop all over my car. So Wednesday I parked on the hill (with the rear of the car facing down hill) 1/4 tank of gas. I go to sleep and wake up the next morning and start my car. Fires up instantally , runs for about 2-3 seconds then dies. I had to literally crank it for 1-2 minutes wednesday before it started back up. Once it started back up it ran 100% fine.

Same thing happened this morning again with 1/4 tank parked on the same hill. When the gas is more full then that it starts right up, or if I park flat it starts up. Problem or common?

this use to happen to me. if you just give it a little gas at startup, it should start fine. or just turn the key over but do not start it, let the fuel cycle thru for a couple sec's then turn it off then turn it back on and start the car. try that

It's due to the slope on your drive.

Chop the tree down and the birds shouldn't crap over your car.
