Question Car is making a screeching noise

Well today I got into my car to go to work.. Turned the car on... and then SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEECHHH.. it was making a high pitched screeching noise.. it got quieter as time went by but i didn't drive it or anything and left the car at home as I was late to work.. I'm going to take it to the dealer on monday but has anyone else had this problem before??? I've had a lot of bad luck with my car in the last couple months... Cracked window, flat tires, rearended hit n run, and now this.. some one help!

Could be the belt or possibly a pully bearing.

The sound seemed like it was coming from the belt or in that general area... But would Honda fix it for me even if I'm modded? I have an intake and exhaust..

You mean for free? I'd make sure it's not the mods causing the problem first before you try. The intake in particular since the stock intake has stuff hanging off it.

My brother just took it for a drive to see if he could figure it out... And he said it's not making the noise anymore... So i'm guessing it might just be only on cold start ups.. I think it could be the accessory belt but i could be wrong..

Still could be belt or bearing related.

Maybe you sucked up a rabbit or at cat. The noise you heard was it's death cry.

Is it safe to drive my car with a messed up accessory belt?
