what do you mean you're not throwing any CEL only for your intake? Maybe you have multiple codes that are in the ECU but you seem to think it's because of the intake. Go get the codes read. If you think it's the intake, why don't you fix it to see if the CEL goes away? I hate to be in your shoes right now buddy but good luck

do you have a video at all that you can post up??

i knot a bad coil would cause a misfire and that would make the car run like a wrx and feel super slow.

i bad injector wouldnt pop i dont think because you wouldnt be getting enough fuel to push extra fuel through the motor to combust giving you a pop.

bad retainers would drop a valve causing one to be bent/drop... it wouldnt be drivable.

dropped valve would not be drivable at all.

im just throwing a few ideas out there.
when my car was misfiring, it made popping sounds from the exhaust.

to be on the safe side, i did a compression test, leakdown test, valve adjustment, retainer inspection etc...turned out to be bad fuel injectors...

vvalve job at stealership is about 120 bucks. p1399 is random misfire. Interesting that it didn't single out any particular cylinder.
