Hi,
This problem has been going on for awhile but I never paid much attention that it deserved so here goes..

My car threw on a engine running rich code (i think it was p0172; ecu is hondata kpro ap1), and I'm not sure if it's related but the car runs rough in low rpms (say anywhere from 1k~2.3k). For example, if I input a constant throttle around low rpm, the car won't accelerate evenly but kind of stutter and jerk back and forth.

Any leads onto what my problem might be ? Every time the code came on, I reset it and the car would run fine for even 300miles interval without the code popping up..or sometimes it would show up only after 20miles..very erratic in terms of the code popping up after reset.

Car is currently all stock except for intake and hondata kpro. Also, i posted a thread earlier but my car has an "idle surge" symptom right after vtec as well..(although I can drive to prevent this from happening by progressively switching down the gears..?)..Are these all related ? any culprit that would cause all this headache?

Why do you have a hondata Kpro if you only have intake?

 

Tried to find the link to map wack but I can't find any DIY for it..only IAC valve cleaning. Got the kpro as I may change my mind down the road with mods.
