Can you post a pic of the part your mechanic is calling a "rear tie rod"?

We have 2 a-arms (upper and lower); a trailing arm; and a swaybar...I have no clue what he's thinking is a rear tie rod.

Describe how the vibration is occuring. Is it all the time? Only at certain speeds? When accelerating?

Is your car lowered? Have you had the wheel/tires balanced?

rear tie rod is the toe arm, and they are called rear tie rods. the rubber boot on the end of the tie rod, is called a "tie rod end boot" in the s2000 parts catalog. shaking coming from that boot. the rear tie rods adjusts rear toe, and thats what you call them for all other cars, tie rods. (we have front tie rods, and rear tie rods)
yup thats the one sir. is it really the one causing the shaking of the rear left wheel sir?? is it bad sir?? thanks so much! and how much is it per pc cause im planing to buy a new set to replace both sides so it will be safer for me. thanks so much sir! pls help me. yup its the one that has the boot.

Vibration in the rear of the car can come from many sources. I've not heard of anyone reporting bad rear tie rods (called a control arm in the Helm manual). However, if the mechanic can clearly show wear from that part, replace it and see if it solved your problem.

The most common source of vibration is out of balance wheels. Even if your wheel have been recently balanced, check them again because weights can be thrown off, and not all tire technicians are careful about getting balance right. Also, when the wheel is on the balance machine check the tire for being out of round since that will also cause vibration even if the wheels are balanced. Another likely source of the vibration is a worn CV joint. I had this problem on my MY 2000 car and it was only after 30k miles of use on a non-lowered car.
