Thumbs down Car shuts off.

Well i just got my 2003 Honda S2000 on wensday, 30/november, car was a beast fun to drive and everything i realize the engine check was on called my dad told me to talk to the previous owner we bought off of, told me go underneath and unplug 7.5 and the engine check will go away, until today i got home from school and back up my garage, i was in reverse backing up then my RPM was lower then 1000 next thing my engine offs, then went to buy food and my car went under 100 rpm then shuts off again kept doing this for 2-3 times, can anyone help?

It's likely you unplugged the "BACK UP" fuse. This was not a smart thing to do. It disables the ECU from putting any CELs. This fuse is used to reset the ECU. Leaving it out makes it hard for the ECU to maintain idle. Put it back in. If you have a CEL, you need to find out WHY it's on. Pull the code so you know what it is. Making the light go away doesn't resolve your problem. In fact, it may simply mask some serious issue that may eventually create a permanent break down and big money to fix.

I see. So did the CEL come back on? If it was a hard code, it will come back on. If and when it does, don't reset it till you know what the code is.
As for the low idle and stalling, are you sure you plugged that fuse back in squarely? Is the fuse OK? Maybe it blew when you were trying to get it back in. Check it.
At any rate, I would suggest that you unplug the MAP sensor wiring harness and wiggle it back in to "freshen up" the contacts. See if this helps any. If it does, you might want to check with Honda to get their new MAP securing device and install it. It's like a fancy zip tie.

Get it scanned at Autozone or someplace like that.

The ECU is somewhat adaptive if you give it a chance. If you try to help it from stalling by using gas, it takes that much longer to learn. Again, without knowing what the code is that sets off the CEL, you are only guessing at what might be wrong.

Get the codes scanned. We cannot help you unless you do this. If the CEL is on there is most likely still a problem.
