Get the codes scanned. We cannot help you unless you do this. If the CEL is on there is most likely still a problem.

What do you mean by "after a bit"? Are you talking about a second or are you talking about minutes. If it's minutes, this is the normal behavior of this car on a "cold start". It's supposed to run at a high cold idle till the intake manifold gets warm coolant to tell the Idle Air Control to back off the idle speed. From that point where your idle drops low and kills the engine is not normal.
1. You are starting to chase your tail around like a dog. GET THAT CODE BEFORE YOU GO NUTS.
2. You need to be more detailed in your description so people don't have to repeated ask you what you mean.
As a result of #1 and #2, people are going to start to unsubscribe to this thread. It's becoming too frustrating trying to help someone who cannot help himself.

I can almost guarantee the code is p170 (bank1) fuel trim malfunction/p172 too rich. Because my car is doing the samething. Still haven't figure it out what the problem is. About to go to last resort Honda Dealership and let them charge the f*ck out of my Christmas money.
