so the engine doesnt turn at all correct? this is an intermittent problem? and it only happens the day after you track it, right? how long before it does start up agian?

yes, the engine does not turn. all i can hear is the click and humm. I dont know what intermittent means. and yes after i track it. Usually i can start it up in the afternoon when i come back from class. but today, it wont start back up. i tried everything. i think the starter might be shot

battery !

The fact that it works later in the afternoon is the key, later in the day its warmer and the battery has warmed up. Batteries don't like the cold.

I know you said you tested the battery, how did you test it ?

if it makes a click click click click sound when u hold the key to start.. that is the battery.. or a bad ground wire check for corrosion.. if it just makes one loud click when you hold it the key at start.. still could be battery.. try battery 1st if not starter

Could be in the starter itself. Had similar problem with my Boxster S when I was racing it. Ran great at practice or racing , but once it had a chance to cool down it would not start. Changed the starter never had the problem again.
