Default Car threw a CEL

As I was driving home, the CEL turned on (not blinking). I finished the trip home and went to autozone to get a OBDII reader. It read P1399 from the port. Looking at the sticky at the top of this forum, it seems to be a misfire of one of the cylinders. Can anyone advise me how to continue from here?

In addition, I noticed a rough idle (imagine a car with cams, but on a smaller scale). There was also some white smoke upon startup (car was sitting for almost 2 weeks).

Edit: My problem seems exactly like this one:

The solution seems to be new injectors. Anyone else experience this?

Start cheap with cheap items first...change plugs to see if that helps.

But my misfire issue was cured with injectors. Others have been cured their misfires by swapping in new coil packs.

Plugs are cheap so I'll start with that and injector cleaner. Thanks all for the input.
