Car won't start
So today I got in my car and tried to start it but it wouldn't start. The stereo turns on but the dashboard doesn't light up. Is the problem my battery?
Earlier this week, I was driving home from school when the car died out on me while I was driving on the freeway for about 4 or 5 seconds and then turned back on. I meant to look into the problem but its finals week and I didn't have the time. I'm guessing the problem is either the battery or alternator. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

do a battery test.. if you cant... take it somewhere to test.. if it fails.. replace battery.. once done.. start car.. hook up a volt meter to battery with car on.. and see if it reads more than 13v if so alt is charging..

I had this intermitant problem for years, the jerks at Honda put two new starters in and it never fixed it. Finally this year dicovered there is a small clip from a relay that comes loose in a place you can barely reach from under the car. It happened again after that because they could not reach it well enoungh to properly crimp the wire so I had it sodered on and never had the trouble again. Have sombody check the connections before you let Honda tell you to get a new starter.

I drove the car today and the engine car shut off for a few seconds again. One thing that I noticed was that it occurred while I was switching lanes. The last time it occurred was while I was switching lanes also. Is it possible that the problem is somehow related to my signal switch or is that merely coincidental?
Thanks for the advice Phramis. I'll be sure to look into that clip you mentioned about.
