Default car wont idle

Ok, just got an 01 and it has been running fine. It had a broken knock sensor that was not plugged in when I bought it so it threw the light for that but it didnt seem to affect the way the car ran for the first week and a half I had the car. A few days ago I went to pull it out of the garage and it started right up, I pulled it out and walked into the garage for a little bit and then it cut off.
It will start up but it will not idle now. When I run it I have to keep the revs above idle for it to run, and it throws 5 codes.

Cylinder 1 misfire, Cylinder 2 misfire, Cylinder 3 misfire, Cylinder 4 misfire, and Random/Multiple cylinder misfire.

It is not the map sensor, tps, iac, ect.

I am wondering if the knock sensor could be causing this?

Any input would be great, thanks

KS will NOT cause that

try isolating which cylinder is causing the issue

pull coils pull the plugs have a look at them swap them 1 at a time in different spots to isolate the specific faulty plug or coil

The knock sensor adjusts ignition timing to reduce knock. A faulty knock sensor could certainly be the source of your problems. But the way you are describing it makes it sound more like a fuel pressure or air starvation issue.

I'm assuming since you said the MAP, iac, ect and tps are not the issue, you tested them?

Once the ecu sees faulty readings from the ks it stops using ks corrections

It is not the issue but it won't hurt to fix it eBay has them new with warranty for $30

As far as map tps ect I have never in I don't even know how many Hondas I have worked on fail unless it was physically broken.

It's fuel or spark

thanks for the input so far. As for the plugs, I will run through and check them today going from each coil and pulling it to see what happens.

Make sure you unplug the connector to test the coil. Letting it spark with no plug on the end can kill it.

Well if the readings are within the range that the cpu is looking for, it will still use those faulty readings.

OP, Did you plug in the KS of leave it unplugged?

I'm gonna say its not plugged in since it's broken must likely separated due to age Honda ks are known for this.
