trying to figure out my car no start issue, the green key wont come up on the dash when i put my key into the ignition. my key is clean the key fob has a good battery but idk what i need to do to fix it or what i need to buy. any help would be very much appreciated ty

 

You change keys? Sounds like a programming issue.

 

keys are the same frm when i got the car back in 2012 nothing has changed havent done anything to anything seems like something has gone out

 

Are you saying the green light won't come on, or it doesn't go out? The green key light is only supposed to come on for less than a split second and then go out. If it says on, or is flashing you have a problem.

I've seen it happen where, and this rare, I'm saying 5 cars over my 10+ years at the dealership, the immobilizer looses communication with the PCM and keys for no reason. The vehicle had to be towed and the keys relearned to the vehicle. This can only be done at a Honda dealership, unless locksmiths now have programming options that I'm unaware of.

OR, there's something metal (other than the key) near the key cylinder causing interference with the immobilizer and key. Like a new bulky key chain, or something hanging/tied around the steering column.
