Help wanted im throwing check engine light Code if i remmeber correctly was P0420

I have a test pipe with 2 of the anti foulers but it still throws the check after like 400-800miles

would anyone know how to fix or solve this problem, my car is 07 could that be the reason.

owner of test pipe before went 40k without CEL could it just be a bad test pipe.

if the test pipe was on an 05 & back it prob would not set it but the 06-07 have more chances of setting that fault. u can try to add more anti foulers or if u know some one good with electronics have them wire up a simulator. i have a berk's test pipe on my 06 and i have the same fault. i am about to add some anti foulers to etend the o2 out some more. if not i have a friend that is good with electronics and is in the middle of tring to wire me up a simulator to give the ecu the signal it wants. the trick is making the signal alternate as an o2. will post again if & when i fix the prob. hopfully i can help both of us out. good luck.

 

thanx it came from an 00-03 s2k. also on the code it said it was under threshold not sure what that meant. maybe ill try and add another fouler. i want to keep it on but if cant fix the CEL its going off

 

Try the blox from inlinefour or talk to a-j about their T1R spacer.

I've been using the T1R for ~25k miles now with zero issues.

 

well dont get rid of the test pipe just yet. my friend and i have made a fix for the check engine light, regarding faults for the second o2 sensor. p0420 below threshold. is just the 02 sensor reporting to the ecu that there is aprob with the cat. my friend and i are getting the paper work together on getting ready to start selling the cel 02 fault for new veh's 06 & up with fly by wire throttle body's. including other cars not only s2k. simple bolt onproduct to the test pipe no wiring required. will keep u guys updated. still testing prototype on some other veh. so far good. ecu is testing sensor and is getting what it needs to set rediness on veh's.
