I have a Test Pipe on my 2002, and have had it on for around 1200 miles. It has non foulers in it. I got the code saying Manufacturer Control.

My cap is junky for some reason, I have to push down on it to get it to not pull a code, sort of annoying for me.

 

i checked it when i was leaving the auto parts store and it was secure. do i have to take it to the stealership to get it cleared?

 

Nah, it will go back out if thats all it is. Or you can pull the backup fuse for the ECU. Its the top right 15Amp on an AP1, but like I said it will go back out if theres no problem.

Hmmm, I'm not sure on how many cycles it would take for the light to go off. I drove mine around all day one day and it went out randomly while I was driving. Worse comes to worse just pull the fuse that says backup on the kick panel. Top right, second one down I think, i know its a red one, 15 amp I beleive.
