Default CEL advice

I was running on racetrack yesterday in straight line WOT when the throttle went away and car went into limp home mode. I managed to coast back to the pits.

VSA Light and triangle came in as well as CEL.
Pulled codes: P2101 and P2176.
I tried clearing codes and disconnecting battery but P2176 comes back immediately and the VSA lights turn on again within a second of starting up. It sits at 1500 RPM and won't rev over 3000.

Electrical connections to throttle cable and throttle body look in good shape. Aside from replacing the pedal position sensor (of which I don't have a spare handy) any thoughts?

Thanks!

The car is in limp mode. Try to find someone willing to lend you their APPS for a test. Although unlikely, wiring to this sensor may have gotten frayed. Worth a close look.
What's the car tuned on?

I'm the only S2000 at this event so no go there. I looked at the wiring but I'll take another closer look.

It is tuned with Hondata flash pro on 93 octane.

Bumping my own thread. I replace the APPS sensor without any change. I cleaned the throttle body and inspected all electrical connections which seemed to be in good shape. Service manual has the next step being replacing the throttle body which is over $1000 for the part. Anyone have ideas before I start replacing expensive things?things. Really appreciate it.

Thanks but it isn't the throttle position sensor. I replaced that and it did not change anything.
