CEL advice? codes 1410 & 411
So I have owned my 02 S2K for a whopping 4 weeks and already I got a check engine light. The codes are 1410 and 411 if remember correct.
One code means that the air control valve vacuum control solenoid is not turning on. My mechanic removed the solenoid and hooked it up to a test battery and the solenoid activated. The fuse is good so he says its not turning on because its not getting a ground from the ECU. He says that I need to take it too an electrical specialist to find and fix the prob.
The other code is because the Air Pump isn't running. I did the ECU reset and then when I started the car, the pump actually came on for 20 seconds then shut off again and hasn't come back on since. And the CEL is back. So again its an electrical problem that my normal mechanic can't handle.
So before I take it to a dif mechanic I thought I would post on here.
Does anyone have any advice?
Has anyone had a similar problem?
Or do I just need to bite the bullet and take it to an electrical specialist?
Thanks
Michael

I can't speak for the solenoid, but I can tell you the A.I.R pump on these cars aren't worth a damn. So it might just need replaced. I removed my entire A.I.R pump system and used the Izzy CEL fix.
I couldn't get my system fixed either so I bought the IZZE-Engineering Air Pump Simulator. Install was easy and it works. Haven't heard of anyone having an issue with it.

Awesome! Thanks for the responses guys. And thanks for the link! This looks like a great solution.
Should I just buy through that website Ookie?
The only other thing I need to know is WILL THE CAR STILL PASS SMOG WITH THIS SIMULATOR???
Thanks alot!
