So I just put a bottle of Amsoil fuel system cleaner in my tank and fiiled 5 gallons of 91 chevron gasoline on top of it (as instructed).
On the way to college after 5 miles of normal driving check engine came on.
Going to check the code in an hour, when my class is finished.
Anyone has some clue what it may be. I am to worried and I cant wait one hour to see whats going on.

What was wrong with the car originally that made you put that in there?

 

If he's lucky it's just the gas cap CEL code.

 

I've seen some cars do this.If you put the cleaner in less than a full tank of gas.....sometimes in some cars it will set off an emissions code.

A full tank and clear the code sometimes will fix it.

Hey guys, Thank you very much for all replies.
Ti billman: there was nothing wrong with car at all. I was just trying to do a bit of maintanance. I was ordering all fluids and oil from Amsoil so I put that in my cart too.
So it was nothing serious thank god. My love is okay
I stopped by my shop at 12 am and pulled out the code it was p0420
And thats for my test pipe. I have extrnsion on o2 but it came off. I guess I have to make it longer.

Now I have to figure out a way to get rid of that p0420
It didnt turn on for 500 miles!
