Default CEL after installing header

Installed an aftermarket header and got the following CEL:

P0132 Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Primary HO2S) (Sensor 1) Circuit High Voltage

I've reset the ECU and it still throws the code. The only possible time something could have went wrong is during the install, the OEM header was hanging by the O2 wire for a bit.

Any ideas/suggestions?

from what you have said i would check for a loose wire or connection. Thats what it says in the book. It can be your o2 loose wire or ecu thats it. ecus dont really go bad. like 99% of the time its not a ecu.

That's what I'm thinking...

Stupid question, but where does the primary O2 plug into the car? I tried following the wire from the sensor up, but it went behind the tranny and I didn't have a good angle under the car.

Primary O2 plug is different than the secondary O2 sensor so you can't switch plugs.

Why did you let the header hang on w/ the O2 sensor? Tha's what probably jacked you up.

The stock header weighs like 24 pounds... allowing an electrical connection to hold that kind of weight was a bad decision. check both ends of the wiring to make sure it hasn't pulled out of the connector, then make sure each wire hasn't frayed or pulled out of each crimp, then make sure any edge it might have rubbed on didn't rub of the insulation.

The good news is, if the sensor is fubar'ed, you can replace them for a little more than $100.

Happened by accident during the install (had no help). It was only for a brief period of time before I saw it and took the load off the sensor wires.

Do you guys know where the sensor plugs into - I tried following the wires and they disappear above the tranny.
