What was the code? 0410, 0411? I had that a while ago and it was related to the Secondary Air Injection system. To the best of my knowledge that's the system that puts fresh air into the catalytic converters to warm them up quickly on cold starts. It may have other functions as well. Just for reference mine turned out to be an electrical relay somewhere along the way that was faulty on very cold startups. I get the feeling that was a rare cause though. Hope this helps.

My car would get that CEL on very cold starts, but when I took it into the dealership they could never find a problem. Finally(a year later) I convinced them to take a real hard look at the whole wiring of the system and they tracked it to one little part. Keep in mind that's only one cause and I think other's have had similar codes for other problems. Let me know if you need anymore info.

Hey Dante, when you had thsi CEL about the air injection. On cold starts, does your car take longer to crank and start the engine?

This is in the FAQ:

Misrouted Vacuum lines are the most likely cause.

Amer, I don't recall that cold starts too any longer to crank the engine. I think that's a normal thing for the car to start slower when it get's below 30-40 degrees F?

Eri, what was the fix? We posted a couple suggestions up and I'd like to know exactly what fixed it. Thanks and good luck.
